Super Mom in Training

I squished a spider this week. With my bare hands. It was on Kaitlyn and my Super Mom instincts kicked in. Without thinking about it, that spider's guts were all over my hand.

Still gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it.

Like I said, Super Mom in training.

It's Getting Hot In Here...

It was 100° yesterday. It's 99° right now. And the forecast for the week goes over 100°.

I know my east coast friends are all saying "yeah, but it's a dry heat" because not too long ago, I would have said the same thing. You know the difference between hot and humid and just really hot with no humid? The shade. In NC, you can't get away from the heat unless you go indoors. Here, the shade is actually cooler. NC = stepping into a sauna. CA = stepping into an oven.

But I'm quite certain my electric bill won't discriminate.

My List

How many times have I mentioned posting pictures of our little home re-dos? Probably about twenty. It's amazing how slow everything goes when you are 1. doing it yourself  2. have a toddler  and  3. have to work on a budget!

Today I finally sat down and made a list of each little thing I needed to do. Twelve rooms. Forty-four different 'tasks' to complete. I've got to set some goals here. I am d.e.t.e.r.m.i.n.e.d. to finish something by the end of this weekend. 

Fingers crossed.
