It's Getting Hot In Here...

It was 100° yesterday. It's 99° right now. And the forecast for the week goes over 100°.

I know my east coast friends are all saying "yeah, but it's a dry heat" because not too long ago, I would have said the same thing. You know the difference between hot and humid and just really hot with no humid? The shade. In NC, you can't get away from the heat unless you go indoors. Here, the shade is actually cooler. NC = stepping into a sauna. CA = stepping into an oven.

But I'm quite certain my electric bill won't discriminate.
